Light vehicle training is intended for drivers of pickup trucks, cars and vans.
Courses are one-day in length. Drivers attend two hours of lecture and then five hours on the track.
Classes are divided into groups of no more than three. Each group works with an instructor in each of four practical modules:
Tight Access Manoeuvring
Emergency Procedures
Skid Recognition, Correction & Avoidance
Hazard Awareness
Driver performance is scored on a Practical Skills Summary form and rated as Safe, Needs Improvement or Unsafe in each of the four competencies. For corporate customers, the results and student records are available on-line.
Properly understood and applied, the skills taught at a CTEC course WILL reduce, if not eliminate, motor vehicle incidents!
Courses are booked either corporately or on "open dates".
