Safety Professional Collision Investigation

In order to have any measurable success with collision reducing initiatives you have to have been trained to determine why your incidents are occurring.If you work as a safety professional, then collision investigation is an essential skill. The Safety Professional Collision Investigation course will provide you with the skills to properly interpret and document a collision scene. Only then will you be able to effectively reduce your company's incident rate and be able to protect your company's interests in criminal or civil court. The Safety Professional Collision Investigation (Level I) Course is three days of training focusing on collision scene documentation and collision fundamentals. Topics include:

Scene Management

Notebooks

Roadway Evidence

Field Notes & Measurements

Collision Templates

Series of Events

Collision Photography

Statements

 

Details:

Students will receive a 125 page manual and metric traffic template. Students are expected to bring clothing suitable for outdoor measuring exercise(s). In order to successfully complete this course, the student must be present for all lectures.  A written examination will be administered that has a passing grade of 75 percent. Students will receive a certificate. Students are cautioned not to make travel arrangements prior to 4 pm on the final day.
